The Black Tape Project Is The Skimpiest New Trend In Club Fashion

Joel Alvarez is a photographer and artist who specialises an tape art, a style he is quoted as telling the NYT that he is the┬áprogenitor of. His business brings him in about $1,000 to tape a girl up, with a photoshoot included. He’s toured around doing the art, and has been so successful creepy con men have pretended to be him to get their hands on all the women wanting a classy tape bikini made for them.

The idea started when he was commissioned to tape a woman from head to toe in electric tape. The concept was sound but the execution was lacking something. This stuck with Alvarez for ages until he realised what it was missing, MORE SKIN. So now there’s tons of skin, and it’s been pulling a butt ton of Instagram followers. I wonder why. I guess people are becoming patrons of the arts now.
